Today, chairman of the constituency commission No.109 Viachaslau Kuzniatsou made a verbal warning to the head of the initiative group on signatures collection Yuras Mielashkievich for distributing the April issue of Narodnaya Vola newspaper. The signatures collected in favour of Milinkevich were confiscated during the picket a bit later.

The participant of the picket near Piershamayski supermarket Iryna Bokhan reported that the chairman of the Uruchcha sub-district constituency election commission Mr. Kuzniatsou demanded to give him every paper with signatures for the support of Milinkevich’s nomination as a candidate for deputy. Kuzniatsou drew up the certificate of signatures collection verification. The commission head claims that the initiative group members broke the rules of filling out the signature sheets.

“The signature sheets possessed by the initiative group members are not yet attested, and cannot be considered to be official documents until verified by me. We can accept any legally sound claims only from the time of filing to commissions. Naturally, if I saw that these signatures were collected with violations, they wouldn’t have been filed to the commission”, the initiative group head Yuras Mielashkievich comments on the situation.
