As was previously reported, police arrested the activist’s car near Masty town on October 7 for rather strained reasons (allegedly, his car was in some search). After a rigorous search in the Masty District Police Office, the activist’s car with all belongings in it was driven to a special parking lot and was sealed. To this day, police returned to the activist neither his car nor his belongings that were in the car (netbook, a bunch of keys, several copies of the Novy Chas newspaper, and several booklets of Belsat TV and Radio Ratsiya).
Siarhiey Trafimchyk attempted to appeal against the actions of Masty police in the Hrodna Region Prosecutor’s Office. The activist asks to explain the reasons of seizure of his property, since police doesn’t give any comprehensible explanation. Moreover, he notes in his complaint that the Code of Civil Procedure was violated because police didn’t give him any papers or copies of protocols when taking away his property.
